I hate my Yugioh memories (Season 4 revisit)

Yu-gi-oh's premise was never really that good.
Sure, it was pleasing to see the most epic card matches ever in the card game, WHENEVER THEY FOLLOWED THE RULES,) which was never!
However, the show seemed to be in the hands of evil corporations and bad parenting. It's quite a pop culture icon for whatever reason. Iconic and recognizable at every anime convention, even losing it's anime tag status.
It was "dark" for a teen show, comical for an adult show, like watching a Saw movie that wasn't the first two films. There was probably something not right with me or society at the time, when I thought of the appeal of the original Japanese show for having real severed limbs sacrificed during this card game.  (I'll get to the perceptions of Egyptians and cults later on in the show.)

Noah ark. I didn't buy them as brothers, at least brothers that liked each other and it really made the arc seem to waste a lot of time.
It seemed to break the fanfiction rule of long lost family member that was established when I was writing in Antagonist Inc's AOL forum Final Fiction

Yugioh had a more in depth card game than Pokemon Trading Card Game.

Yasuko Kobayashi
Kamen Rider OOO

The seal of Orichalcos was actually underrated by me thanks to the horrible dubbing and editing by 4Kids.
Pegasus' reveal is apeshit insane to the point of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure comedy.
And Kaiba's such a motherfucking asshole. He's written so wooden, showing no changes in personality, no matter what happens to anybody besides his kinky incest brother that he makes Pinocchio look like he's crying Mt. Everest here.
Yami Mai is way underwhelming.
The loss of non-Yami Yugi should've had a better impact considering the heart he meant in the series.
And pretty much everything gets ruined by Bicycles.
If this was Kamen Rider, 4Kids would've ruined it because of the very bikes that have made the show iconic.
Seal and magic cards.
Hell, isn't the reason the reason everybody loves Yu-gi-oh, because it pisses off the right wing? Egyptians, the Middle East, religion, magic, violent films, the bad hentai fanfiction ships?
There are a lot of Kamen Rider fans that complain about Kamen Rider Wizard having nothing in the plot, but it accomplishes its goal of selling toys and being respectable and unique while doing so.
On Track IV: Weaknesses and power having nothing to do with, what Mai said in the flashback.

Anime matchup of Q1 2014: Samurai Flamenco vs Space Dandy

History. This matchup was like back in the day, when people were comparing Neon Genesis Evangelion vs Perfect Blue. 08th MS Gundam Team vs Cowboy Bebop for what was the best anime of the year.
This was a really good start to the year.
Both shows had great hidden subtexts, in addition to their outlandish humor.
Both have great quality animation.

Best:
Fight scenes: Samurai Flamenco
Boobies: Space Dandy
Songs: Samurai Flamenco
Animation: Space Dandy
Characters: Samurai Flamenco
Direction: Samurai Flamenco
Production Space Dandy
Armada: Space Dandy
Haircut: Space Dandy
Toys: Samurai Flamenco
Cosplay: Space Dandy

Favorite Space Dandy Season 1 Episodes

  1. Space Dandy Episode 1&2 and its commentary on race, class and women
  2. 7 Stanley Kubrick commentary
  3. 6 Commentary on Conservative Wars
  4. 13 QT, love and coffee. Commentary on how computers and people love coffee shops nowadays.
  5. 3: What you can't trust based on appearance. Do you trust the vagina or the boobies?

In Samurai Flamenco, the show will be won over by love

All superhero shows feature mainly fighting, right wing characters, as do many dramas, with characters at the bottom of the barrel.

In episode 21, the theme of love was introduced to the show.
It's not the love of
FlamenBlack's love for his grandpa
FlamenGreen's love for his sister
FlamenPink and Lady Axe's love for Red Axe.
Mari for Hazama
Red Axe for Hazama
Goto for Hazama
I thought it'd be the fans' love for Hazama.
It'll be love vs war.
Pure, NAKED love!

As seen in the 18th episode, after Samurai Flamenco defeats a super giant space alien.

In later goes into a bit more in the finale, albeit to probably the most mixed result from me in the series.

However, that's also that I didn't take into account that I had misinterpreted the meaning of the second theme song, which had to do with Ai (love), not Ay-yai-yai, or eyes, a very clever misdirection for American fans. (The confusion also isn't helped when a woman throws baseballs during the music video.)

Believing in love is the salvation.
